These cute little fairy trinket boxes were added to the IvyRose Holistic range following requests for "Tooth Fairy" boxes. As children know (and many adults remember!) the tooth fairy collects child's milk teeth during the night after they fall out - or are pulled out. According to this tradition, the tooth fairy leaves a coin or coins in place of the tooth. Years ago, children left their milk teeth on or under their pillow at night for the tooth fairy to collect. The trouble was that teeth are small and may get lost that way ... These neat, inexpensive, little fairy trinket boxes are the perfect way to leave a milk tooth out for the tooth fairy. Just pop it into the little box beneath the statue of a fairy, leave it out on a bedside table or similar, and wait for the tooth fairy to collect it overnight - and hopefully leave a coin in its place.There are 12 different versions of these fairy trinket boxes - one for each month of the year, each with the appropriate birthstone written on the trinket box and with fairy with wings in matching colour scheme. Note that, unfortunately, these items are not as beautifully finished as the other products in our range. Although all are brand new and in their original packaging we have classified them as "slight seconds" due to imperfections such as (in some cases) visible solder attaching the wings, pale text indicating the month / birthstone, and/or imperfect finishing. This quality is reflected in the very low price. Although still delightful for personal use or for very close friends or family members, these don't generally come across as "expensive" gifts ... so we'd like you to be aware of this.Approx. dimensions of Fairy on trinket box: Total 7cm high by 5 cm deep (incl. wings) on 4cm diameter trinket box.
