These attractive little fairy trinket boxes could be used as "Tooth Fairy" boxes. As children know (and many adults remember!) the tooth fairy collects child's milk teeth during the night after they fall out - or are pulled out. According to this tradition, the tooth fairy leaves a coin or coins in place of the tooth. Years ago, children left their milk teeth on or under their pillow at night for the tooth fairy to collect. The trouble was that teeth are small and may get lost that way ... Alternatively, use it to store any other small but treasured items.

There are 12 different versions of these fairy trinket boxes - one for each month of the year, each featuring a mock stone of the same colour as the birthstone for that month.
